Amy S. Ady has been with the City’s Finance Department since April of 1991. She served as the City’s Assistant Finance Director from 1991 until 1998 when she was appointed as the Finance Director and continues to serve in that position today. As the City’s Finance Director, Ms. Ady is responsible for all finance and accounting services for the City as well as treasury management, budgeting, purchasing/procurement services, and grants management including disaster related grants received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Prior to joining the City, Ms. Ady worked in the accounting profession for 8 ½ years in the private sector – first with Peat Marwick (KPMG) and then with a privately held software development company. Ms. Ady received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Accounting and Political Science (double major) from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and her Master’s in Business Administration from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business in Winter Park, Florida.
Randy earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Accounting from the University of Florida. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been employed in the governmental field of accounting/auditing for over 20 years. He was previously employed by the Florida Auditor General and has served as a Director of Finance for two Florida School Districts, including his current position with Wakulla County. Randy has also serves on various advisory councils, including a current term on the Florida School Finance Council.
Mark Grimmel is the President and Founder of Egis Insurance & Risk Advisors (Egis) with offices located in Boca Raton and Lake Mary, Florida. Egis, established in 2008, provides insurance and risk management services to Florida Public Entities, Special Taxing Districts, and Public Charter Schools. In 2011, Egis created a public entity insurance trust called the Florida Insurance Alliance (FIA) and serves as the Trust Administrator. Prior to creating Egis, Mark served as the Vice President of Property and Casualty Insurance Services for Hilb, Rogal, and Hobbs. Additionally, he worked for over 12 years in the accounting profession providing financial reporting and accounting services to mid to large sized businesses. During this time, he held the positions of Controller and Director of Operations for one of the largest privately held technical staffing firms in the country. Mark earned a Business Administration Degree from Palm Beach State College and currently holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.
Michael Hollingsed is Treasurer and Director of Treasury Services for the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), the 14th largest municipal utility in the United States. He is responsible for OUC’s capital financings, managing all investment activities, along with payment processing and reconciliation. Mr. Hollingsed has 24 years of experience working both for OUC and in the private sector. Mr. Hollingsed earned his Master of Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Florida State University. He is a Certified Treasury Professional.
Mr. Jacobsen earned a B. A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of South Florida. After spending several years in regional banks based in Florida, Mr. Jacobsen joined the School Board of Pinellas County in 1993 as the assistant to the Director, Cash Management. He became head of the Cash Management department in 1996 and is responsible for all administration banking functions and investing the District’s funds
Mr. Levering is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and a graduate of the Duke University, Fuqua School of Business with a Masters in Business Administration. Prior to Miami Dade College, he worked for 13 years with Ryder System, Inc. with the last four years in the role of CFO/CIO.
Stan Nichols is a native resident of Santa Rosa County and has been married to his wife Joyce since 1984. Stan was elected as Tax Collector in 2008 and was unopposed in 2012. He was also elected by his peers to the Executive Board of Directors for the Florida Tax Collectors Association. For the board, he currently serves as Treasurer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Baptist Health Corporation. Under his leadership, the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector’s Office has been presented the award for excellence in financial accounting three consecutive years by the Florida Tax Collector’s Association for having a perfect audit.
Allen Wohlwend is a CPA in public practice in St Petersburg, Florida specializing in small business taxation and financial planning. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Florida. Prior to opening his own practice in 1998, Wohlwend was employed at Price Waterhouse, LLP, and Dowell & Perez, PA, in Tampa, as well as Arthur Andersen, LLP in Cologne, Germany in various auditing, taxation and consulting roles. He also holds the designation as Certified Financial Planner.
